NEWS ALERT:

 Celia Fund

donations needed

Celia came to the SPCA as a stray, brought in by Animal Control. The SPCA staff and local veterinarians realized she needed some medical treatments. During the course of those treatments, through x-rays, it was discovered she needs an operation. This will repair damage to her femur and replace her hip. This operation will alleviate the pain and discomfort Ceila now feels. She has a sweet personality, is young, and a golden lab. Sangaree Animal Hospital has given the SPCA a discount on the cost of the surgery. However, the cost remains at $975 to cover the surgery and the x-rays. Your donations could help Celia run and play again. CLICK HERE to learn how to make a donation to Celia's Fund.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED

For the first time since we started the  program (more than five years ago) the foster home program associated with the Frances R. Willis Shelter is unable to take new dogs from the shelter into our homes. We do not even have enough foster homes to provide for the dogs already in the foster program. Our foster homes are all full. We have to turn our backs on heartworm positive dogs that need a home while going through treatment. We have to look away from the dogs that are deteorating at the shelter. Foster moms and dads open their hears to a homeless dog until that dog is adopted. We make a promise to these dogs that they will take of them until they find permanent homes. We need people willing to make that longterm commitment. Taking one dog out  of the shelter into a home is not going to change the world, but it is going to change the world for that one dog.

If you want to become a Foster Home today, please contact Kathy Eckels at 695-1272 or kateckels@aol.com

HELP PLEASE

WE ARE IN DIRE NEED OF

FOSTER HOMES!!!!!!!!

The SPCA is a small facility with a limited number of kennels for all of our animals. We need animals lovers who are willing to open their hearts and their homes to dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in need. There are different ways that you can foster: Foster a litter of pups or kittens for several weeks until they are ready to be put on the adoption floor. Open your heart to a sick animal who needs to recover in a healthy setting for a week or several days. Sadly, many of the dogs coming into our shelter are heartworm positive and need a quiet home to rest while undergoing heartworm treatment. You are literally saving a life when you foster- otherwise there are those who may perish. Our mission is to rehabilitate as many animals as possible so that they can be adopted. Make a difference and call or email us today. For more details, click here to go to our Foster Page.

Who knows...you may discover your new Best Friend!
